We recommend you start at 7:30 am, however, the tour is in private service and you choose the start time, just write to us for more information.
We will start the adventure at 7:30, will pick you up from the hotel and drive through the north side of the National Reserva salinas y Aguada Blanca. Along the way we will observe vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. We will make a stop to drink coca tea at the Pampa Cañahuas viewpoint located at 4000 meters above sea level. From this point we will observe the north face of the Misti, Chachani and Picchu Picchu volcanoes.
Around 10:30 we will arrive at the Pillones waterfall located at 4600 meters above sea level, here we will take a short walk (15 - 20 min) to access the waterfalls where we can cool off and enjoy the environment and the sound of water. After the relaxing time we will continue our trip to Imata.
Once in Imata we will walk surrounded by rock formations with enigmatic figures that will blow your imagination with their shapes of animals and people. In this stone forest you will have the feeling of walking in a place out of this world. The distance to walk is short since the transport reaches the stone forest, however we will spend at least an hour touring this magnificent place.
Being a private service we will have the flexibility to spend more time taking pictures and observing the natural formations before returning to the city.
Before returning to Arequipa we will have time for lunch in the mountains. We will return around 4:30 pm.
