We will start the guided tour visiting the main square, the Cathedral, the Koricancha Temple, also known as "Temple of the Sun" its architecture and its perfect stone constructions show that during the Inca empire it was the most important temple; then we will visit the ruins of Kenko, an archaeological complex that had a religious function, in this place you can see a semicircular amphitheater with trapezoidal niches as well as a small altar where it is believed that the Incas mummified their dead.Then we will visit Puka Pukará, red fortress, it is believed that it was a military construction and that it was part of the defense system of Cusco.Next we will go to Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to the cult of water where the Inca could rest, until today its water sources can be appreciated.
Finally we will visit the Sacsayhuaman fortress, strategically built on a hill from where you can see the entire city of Cusco. Sacsayhuaman is famous for its enormous carved stones, and because the Festival of the Sun or Inti Raymi is held here every year. Then we will go back to the hotel.
