AREQUIPA - PUNO / PUNO - AREQUIPA
This adventure will take you to know the sacred water sources of the Andean world.
If you are in Arequipa and want to go to Puno and vice versa, if you want to leave Puno in the direction of Arequipa, opt for this tour that offers you to see the Pillones waterfall, the Pinaya Geysers and its hot springs and the beautiful Lagunillas lake. It is possible to do this tour from Arequipa returning to the same city, but for this it is necessary to start earlier (6:00 am)
The average travel time between Arequipa and Puno is 6 hours, but with stops to observe the landscape and South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas and vicuñas; In addition to the visits that we will make on the route, we will carry out a full day tour.
We start the tour at 7:30 am with pick up from hotels and we leave through the highlands ending with the transfer to the new hotel around 6:00 pm. On this journey there are beautiful landscapes and hidden wonders that we will visit, such as the Pillones waterfall located at 4600m, which we will access after a 25-minute walk and where we will enjoy its impressive view and the relaxing sound it produces when the water hits the rocks.
Let's continue the trip through the altiplano and we will arrive at the village of Pinaya, here we will have a mandatory stop to appreciate the Pinaya geysers, a beautiful place to contemplate and take pictures, these geysers have a temperature of 80 °C and it is necessary to temper its waters to enjoy the thermal water pool. Here we will stay for an hour relaxing and benefiting from the medicinal properties of this hot water.
Finally we will make a stop in Lagunillas, a lake located at 4100m where different varieties of Andean birds can be observed, the most outstanding are the Andean flamingos. In this way we culminate an extraordinary and satisfying journey.
